Two Decades with AEJMC, and a New Chapter Begins

I am deeply honored to have been elected as the Vice Chair of the Council of Divisions of AEJMC. My term will begin in October 2025 and will continue through the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years. I will automatically move into the chair position.

Having been involved with AEJMC for two decades, with leadership experience across three divisions, I am eager to step into this crucial position. I look forward to working with the CoD to support our members and make sure that AEJMC programming reflects the richness and range of our academic community.

The Council of Divisions plays a crucial role within AEJMC, as it is responsible for planning the annual meeting's programs and representing the membership's diverse interests to the Board of Directors. In my role as the vice chair, I will serve with the current chair of the CoD, Avery Holton, as the primary liaison between the DIG officers and their members, the Council of Affiliates, and AEJMC membership. My responsibilities also include working with the CoD chair in ensuring that executive leadership hears the concerns from the DIG officers, assist with planning the annual conference, and resolving any issues that may arise between DIG officers and members.
